Here's a video on how to crochet. I learned a lot from these and I already know how to crochet! Just keep at it and eventually, you'll learn and be crocheting like it's totally natural to you!
The sell DVDs that might help at Joanne's Fabrics and probably lots of other stores, as well. I was taught by my aunt and my mother and then taught myself the fancier stitches and patterns by using books. Crochet isn't bad, knitting is harder to me.
Look on line for all of your tips. It saves you money and you can see almost the same information online without paying for the DVDs. Look at what SweetnessandLight posted above. There are a lot of resources in communities too. If you contact yarn shops, they will sometimes be able to direct you to someone that can give you paid lessons if you need someone to be right by you to teach you some of the harder things.
