Default Does anyone know where I can get gourds for crafting?

I live in the Northwest and I don't know of anyone who grows gourds here as I don't think we have a long enough growing season for them.

I am most interested in the small hard shell gourds that are shaped like pears. I saw some that were painted as Christmas ornaments but this was some years ago. I thought I'd enjoy making some myself but don't know where or how to get the gourds.

Have you tried stores like Michaels or Jo-Ann's? You could also try Wal-mart if they have a craft section at your store. I know the Wal-Mart by my home has a craft area and they have them there.

Try for the foam ones at the local Dollar Tree. They had a bunch at the store by me the last time I looked. If you're looking for real ones, try the local farmer's markets or a produce stand. That's where I usually find them.

I bought some recently from Ebay, believe it or not! They were wonderful I couldn't believe the quality of them. They were homegrown and perfect. I got them at a very reasonable price too.
