Default Easy crafts for Alzheimer's patients

I work with a few Alzheimer's patients and am looking for a few easy crafts that I could do with them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there I am actually an occupational therapy student. We have learned about several activities to do with Alzheimer clients. To find the best you should think of what it is that you want to work on. Maintaining memory, sequencing, time management or maybe just a fun activity that they find fulfillment in. There are a ton of activities out there its just finding the right one which will interest them and bring them occupational fulfillment. I help in the activity department and a few that we have done are painting wooden jewelry boxes and bird houses. We also have had a lot of interest in doing ceramics from a cast. You can grade this down to their ability for example maybe you need to mix it and help pour it but then they can paint it themselves. Also cooking is a wonderful fulfilling activity to do. Here is a website with some additional projects. I hope this helps, I really have a passion for the elderly and helping them live out their lives in fulfillment. Alzheimer's Activities

Hi mArgret!

Good thing I found this thread. my mother-in-law has been staying in long term care facility for assistance on her Alzheimer's. She was fond of gardening and knitting before she was afflicted with the disease. We tried to give her the tools for knitting but she throw them on the floor. Im still looking for activities that could somehow entertain her
