I don't like those metal hangers that you get on hanging baskets and I'd like to make some that look nice. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can use and how to make them?
Have you tried macrame? I used to do it all of the time and made some hanging basket holders. You could make a fabric sleeve for each wire and hide them that way. Or, you could take them off completely and use plastic cording in their place.
Macrame is so old fashion (I think). I can remember when my mom had them when we were young. I love the new ones that are like straw and then a cute chain wire. They look pretty cool to me.
The chain idea sounds nice. Measure the length of the wires and go to the hardware store. Let them cut you a chain that you like that length and replace the wires when you get home.
I like the chain idea, but I like the macrame idea, too. Macrame has been around for a long time, but I don't see it used anymore. Would the weather make the macrame on outside hanging baskets deteriorate?
