Default Headboards

I want to make a headboard for my bed. I've never made one before and I'm not sure if I should mount it to the frame or mount it to the wall. What would be the best way to go about it? I'd love to have it to spruce my room, but I don't want it to fall and hit me while I'm sleeping.

It all depends on whether you intend to ever rearrange your furniture. If you do, then mount it to the bed. If you don't the wall would be OK.

I don't think I could sleep knowing there was a possibility that something might fall on me. I think that attaching it to the bed allows for moving around later without having to fix the wall.

If it was mounted on the wall properly, it would be really secure. The upside is that it won't hit and scratch the wall every time you make bed.

There are only so many ways to arrange my room, it is not overly large so if I was going to make a headboard, I would attach it to the wall.
