Default kites

I want to sit down with the kids and make some kites. The kind we used to make when we were kids. Does anyone have any good kite making ideas that they could share with me? Thanks

Perhaps it isn't best to make a kite out of scratch particularly if you have forgotten how you initially used to do it. Try buying a do it yourself kit?

My better half thinks its funny but I have never flown a kite in my life. Even when I have upset people and they told me to go fly a kite really though, maybe one day I will just to say I finally have.

I can't quite remember how to do them but when I was at the dollar store the other day I saw some that were really cheap. I would try going there and getting one.

I have never tried making a kite before. I don't guess it would be very hard though but some of the others are right you can buy them really cheap at the Dollar Store.

They aren't really that hard to make and it's much more fun if you have something you've made that flies instead of something you buy. Here's a link to one you can make with the kids from scratch. They suggest you use dowel rods but if you can get hold of some balsa wood it make the kite lighter and easier to get aloft.
