Default Looking for some ideas

My three year old keeps telling me she is "sad" because she can't go to school so we are doing school at home. I am looking for some fairly simple craft actvities to go with the letters of the alphabet. For example, today we painted with apples for the letter "A". Any ideas?

Hi, homemaker. I don’t have any little ones at home, so I can’t help much. I do know several homeschooling bloggers however. They are often posting resources, etc. Do a little Googling for homeschooling blogs and I would almost bet you can find plenty of simple crafts to keep that little one busy.

When you're in the grocery store, play a game and let her "find" the letters of the alphabet on store signs, package displays and products. When she's at home, let her help put groceries away, but find letters as she goes. Save labels and make a grocery store alphabet book using labels and box tops as the contents.

You could string together a book by having her draw pictures on each page of animals and whatnot that start with the various letters. She'll get a kick out of reading/seeing her own work!

These are some cute ideas! I am going to try a couple of these with my little ones. I have found a ton of awesome ideas on Pinterest for busy bags and crafts that are appropriate for little ones. We have been making a lot of messes and having a ton of fun! We made homemade finger paint, liquid sidewalk chalk, and play dough last week!

My 4-year old nephew is learning the alphabet and one of our activities is finger painting. He loves using his finger to write letters. It could be a bit messy but it's a lot of fun!

Maybe you could figure out a way for the two of you to make some flash cards of some sort geared to what a three year old can learn and understand. I think it would be fun.
