We are so proud of her. One of the classes she is taking in high school is a fabric art's type of class. She decided to make a skirt. It turned out beautifully, and she loves it! She is planning on wearing it for the first time on a high school trip. Isn't it great a feeling when you/your kids can make something useful for themselves?

Yes it is! I remember sewing my own clothes as a teen and feeling so proud. My youngest loves to sew doll clothes by hand for her and her little cousin.

That is awesome! How creative of her. My kids are not old enough for that yet, but I can imagine it is a good feeling. I look forward to those days.

That's a wonderful accomplishment! I love that they allowed the kids to pick out what they wanted to make. When we went through Home Economics, we all had to make the same thing and I don't think any of us every wore the garment after we made it and got a grade.
