My sister is having a party for her daughter and they are going to do crafts. I told her she is crazy! Who would want 10 - 8 year olds making crafts in their house! What a mess

So any ideas on what they can do? She is going to JoAnn's tomorrow to pick up supplies. She would prefer not messy--- good luck I say!

Why not let them paint? You can buy wooden cut-outs and have them paint them. Or how about those sun catchers? The paint things are really small and they are very cute. They could make them and give them away to their parents as a gift?

I don't know about Joann's but Michael's has little kits usually around a $1 a piece to make picture frames, tiara's etc. and everything you need is in the pack.

I would tell her to go to Lowe's and buy a plastic dropcloth and let them have it. She can also take advantage of this opportunity to get rid of any clothes in her husband's closet that she doesn't care for - let the kids wear any shirts of his that she wants gone while crafting so they don't ruin their own clothes

What a great idea Stephanie! Use the older bigger clothes to put over their clothes. My daughter always wears my hubby's old shirts when she is painting with me.
