Default Quilts

Does anybody here make quilts? My grandmother used to make handmade quilts and I wish I had learned how to do it before she died. In the winter, there is nothing like curling up with a comfy quilt and the ones you can get in a store just don't seem to cut it.

I can sew a mean quilt! Lately we have been making the no sew quilts that you tie. They are fleece material and feel like a soft heaven when you cover up with one.

I can sew too, so I have made many quilts. You can get quilt patterns right off the internet and then just buy the material and make 1.

Flower, that is really cool that you know how to make a quilt. Are the patterns difficult to follow? How long does it normally take you to make a quilt?

I was thinking of making a family quilt. I want to transfer some family photos onto fabric and use those for the quilt. I think it would be a really nice keepsake for my boys and if they have children in the future.
