Today I asked my 4 year old what shapes she would like. I let her chose 5 shapes and 5 colors and cut them out for her. I gave her a glue stick, a big poster board and some crayons. It kept her busy for hours.
That's a good idea. We do something like this when I volunteer at our local preschool. We don't take that long at it though. We usually will give them one shape at a time and then ask them what it looks like. We get a lot of cute answers.
