I have volunteered to help with a Brownie Scout Troop this coming school year. We are working to try to come up with some crafts they can do with minimal skills since we will have about 15 girls with only two troop leaders. Does anyone have any ideas we can use for something fun for them to do?
Oh wow! I remember being in Brownies way back when and we made Christmas ornaments using plastic beads and pipe cleaners. I still have them to this day.
Lanyards are fun to make, and they're pretty simple to do (also not at all messy, which is a huge plus). You could also have everyone paint little clay pots, and maybe have them plant seeds in them. That would, of course, be an outside activity.
I'm glad CrystalBrooke started this thread. My girls are moving up to Brownies this year and I am volunteering. I can use a few ideas. We have about 30 girls. This year I want to make care packages for the nursing home my dad is at. My daughters enjoy spending time with all the lonely grandmas and grandpas. I would like other girls to experience that also.
