Default Using Old Stuffs to Create New Things

This is done by many but there is still a lot of us who throw the old stuffs that we don't use. I admire people who can create new things using old stuffs they have. It helps the environment cleaner and they can also save some money by reusing the old stuffs rather than buying new things.

What do you do with the things that you don't use anymore?

I try to recycle old clothes, linens, towels and some plastic containers, but you can only do so much and there is always an excess of garbage.

Have you tried using old sweaters that have felted up for mittens? You actually can make a lot of things out of them. Just Google "felted sweater crafts" and you will see bunches of thing they can be used for from coffee cup java jackets to hats and pillow covers. Very snuggly in the winter time.

I actually just found a way to reuse plastic bags from the store by weaving them into outdoor mats. You can still throw them in the wash (on gentle) when they get dirty and just let them air dry. I am going to try it out this week.
