I have an 8 year old girls birthday coming up pretty soon. She is in to all the normal things that most girls are in to. I'd love to brainstorm a list of party themes. All ideas are welcomed!

Who is her idol right now? Is it Justin Beiber or is she too young still? How about Pooh Bear? Or Scooby Doo, he was a big hit when my daughter was younger.

I loved doing the birthday party themes for my kids (and my friends' kids) when they were smaller.

We went based on interest and then made up our own games, etc. No clowns, pony rides, bouncing castles, etc.

Pick something she really enjoys. Perhaps around a toy or book she's hoping to receive. We had so many super hero birthdays we had a cape in every color.

My friend had a cooking party for her daughter. They made homemade cookies (from scratch) and decorated their own aprons.

I have a child who is afraid of clowns. Every time one comes near here she flips out and screams. I have no idea why she is so afraid of them. She hates anything in a mask as well. So clowns will never be allowed at our parties.
