Does anyone have some unique ideas for decorating an eight year old boy's bedroom? I am planning on allowing my son to pick his own theme and colors, but I thought maybe I could add some interesting touches that would make it a fun room for him.

What are some of his favorite things to do? Has he started to show interest in a sport? Does he like a science subject? Find something he really likes and see if you can match the theme to that.

How long until you will be willing to do his room again? Sometime between 11 and 13 he will probably want a more adult room. So you might do it this time, keeping that in mind.

I've seen a baseball bat cut in half lenghtways and then it has several hooks placed on the baseball bat and hung on the wall. It makes a really cut coat rack. I would ask him what he wants first though.
