Default Changing nursery to a big girl room

I am looking for some ideas to change my daughter's nursery from being so babyish to more of a little girl room. I would really like something that we can kind of update easily as she grows.

First you should use pink if she likes that, or whatever her favorite color is, You can use nice curtains as well as these can be easily changed out for blinds later on if the needs arise.

We have slowly done that step by step with our little one but we are working to getting a big girl bed and that is going to be a little different. We are going to a non-toddler bed, she has no issues with ours, so why get a bed she can only use for a little bit, right?

I would paint the walls a color that she really likes and you can get those graphics that stick on the walls but that you can take back off and move around, that way you can change them as she grows older. Curtains and bedspreads can match the walls.

I agree with that Cero when ours gets a little bigger we are planning to do the same thing. I am saving my crib for hopefully number 2 since dropsides seem to be dissappearing rapidly!

My little (now big) girl always liked lavender so that's what we painted her room when she went into her "big" bed. We used the crib mattress for one of those toddler beds until she grew into a twin bed. I had the accents painted white and it looked really nice. After she got in her teens she went with a robin's egg blue and white and it really looked nice. Now she is married and in her own apartment.

When my daughter makes the transition I plan on letting her pick the color and then we will keep things fresh by changing comforters and curtains every other year or so. The paintings and pictures she has on her walls now are not at all babyish so that stuff will probably stay for quite a while.
