Default Christmas tree

I used to wait until after Thanksgiving to put up the Christmas tree, but now I'm thinking about decorating the tree after Halloween. Every year, I seem to start a little earlier and wait a little longer to take it down. Eventually, I guess I'll have a year-round Christmas tree.

So, when do you all put up your tree and take it down?

We get our tree the day after Thanksgiving and take down sometime in January. I do start with other decorations before Thanksgiving but I wait until after for the actual tree.

Our family doesn't put up our tree until about a couple of weeks before Christmas. I don't think we could stand it any longer. I actually get tired of the tree by the time Christmas rolls around.

I wouldn't put it up that earlier, but I don't see a problem with it. The stores willl be selling Christmas items right after Halloween anyways so it's not a big deal. You just get to enjoy cool lights longer than us.

We usually put ours up a couple weeks before Christmas and I'm always ready to take it down the day after. Sometimes we will put it up a little earlier then two weeks but not to often.

I used to wait until two to three weeks before Christmas to put the tree up, but last year we put it up Thanksgiving weekend and I am really happy we did. We always get a real tree and I was shocked that it actually lasted until New Year's. I think Thanksgiving weekend will be the new tradition.

I would love to put up the tree early, but we wait because the house is just so cramped with the tree. If we didn't have to rearrange our furniture into an awkward set up, then I'd be willing to have the tree out for longer.

It is tradition, in my family, to put my grandmas Christmas tree up after our Thanksgiving dinner. The tree, at my house, goes up about a week later.

I also, put our Christmas tree up, after Thanksgiving dinner. I just get so excited, I can not hold out any longer. I end up taking the tree down, in the middle of January.

Ours goes up the weekend of Thanksgiving. It will usually take me all weekend. The kids are too young to help, and the wife has no interest.
