I have been trying to pick out new curtains for my kitchen. I'm having a hard time. I am going Americana and it's a country look. I have 1 large picture window and 1 smaller kitchen window (over the sink). What should I get for curtains?

Have you thought about using collectible aprons as a valance? I've seen this done before and it's really cute. You just string a clothesline over the window and hang the aprons on the clothesline with clothespins. You could also use placemats hung catty cornered. The points hang down and make a really cute valance. You would, of course, have to use blinds or a roller shade underneath but it would look really cute.

Wow that sounds pretty neat Deep. You could get some Americana aprons and hang them. That would look really country. I've never seen it but now that I have heard of it I'm thinking I will try it too.
