Does anyone know of anything I could do to change the walls in a rented property that I could repaint over after before we move out? I am so tired of white walls!
Painting would be my first choice. It's relatively cheap, requires no special tools and anyone can do it. If you choose vibrant colors, you can dramatically change your home at a low cost.
Painting definitely. Try to make a fake chair rail between two colors and it makes a very nice effect on your walls. You really have to be careful though because you want to make sure you can undo what you have done when it comes time to move.
I would paint an accent wall instead of painting all of the rooms. Also, add proper lighting to each room. Poor lighting can make a space seem very drab and depressing.
How about wall paper border? You can always remove it after or even leave it up. I would check with the landlord before I painted or did anything though to the rental.
Painting would be the easy route to take but some places do have hefty fines when you want to paint over what they have already done. Ask first, paint second.
