Default Fire Pits

Has anyone built a fire pit in their back garden? I was wondering how you liked it and if it was worth the effort. We have been thinking of fixing one so we can have a place to sit around in the evening and talk and have fun.

They are great and we love sitting around them at night. You can buy them in most any size and shape at Home Depot or Lowes and other places too, so you don't really have to build one unless you just want to. You'll really enjoy one though.

I have built a few temporary ones just by digging a whole in the ground. The next one I would like to build will be more permanent with a cooking section.

We love these and bought one from Home Depot not to long ago for fall. We like to sit outside at night or early evening and this are really nice when the weather starts to get cool. There are all types to choose from to suite your needs.

I have a fire pit - You'll laugh when I tell you what it is. It's a rusty old tractor tire rim and it works wonderful! It came from a FarmAll H.

We have one of those decorative fire pits (it's more of a ring). We bought it last year and it's already looking like crap! I love the idea of the tractor tire rim!
