I am thinking hidden storage might be the best thing for us. We were recently told that our house is too cluttered by a family friend and I am confused by it. We live here, we will have clutter but the house is neat.

I think you need to find a new friend more than you need hidden storage but that's just me. Sounds like someone has been watching too much 'Hoarders'.
