Does anyone have homemade throw pillows? I do not have any, but I have thought about making some for my couch. I am worried the homemade pillows might look bad, though. If someone comes over, I want them to think the pillows are store bought pillows.

They aren't hard to make. They have pillow forms at the sewing or craft store that you can buy and just tie handkerchiefs around. I saw something like that in some magazine but I don't remember where.

I get free ugly pillows and then use them for material. I love making throw pillows because they are quick to do and the possibilities are limitless.

I think the key to making them look professionally made is the use of cording. It is not really that much more work but it really makes the pillows have such a more finished look.
