Our neighbors go overboard on the lights every year and it's so inconvenient for us. The cars file by in a line until the wee hours because they leave them on all night. I'm telling you, it keeps me up and I'm surprised they aren't bothered by the traffic. When I come home, there are people parked everywhere. I've talked with them but they enjoy doing it so we didn't make a huge fuss. I will be glad when Christmas is over!

Oh my! That does sound like a nuisance! I don't envy you myself. I'm not much on outdoor decorating myself but I do put a wreath on the door and a few lights around the porch.

I've often wondered how the neighbors of people like this felt. I don't think I would be to crazy about it either. But, what do you do? They like to go all out and people like to see it.

I have lived near people with big displays and the added traffic is annoying. It's only for one month usually so it's not a big deal to me. It is nice when they turn the lights off in the late hours. I once had a neighbor who decorated the lawn lavishly for Halloween and then just put Santa hats and lights on the scary pirates so that was more than 3 months of traffic!

I can't blame them for being festive and having fun but I understand your pain. I don't even want to think of what their electricity bill is going to look like if they are leaving the lights on all night.

I'm with Bella, I see all these house decorated up and wonder how the neighbors feel about it all. It has got to be annoying to a point. But then I look at and think, thank goodness they are the ones having to pay the electric bill!

I think it's cool that they go all out. Sounds like they went Griswald style ala Christmas Vacation. I keep telling my husband I am going to do it like that one year!
