Default Kids rooms a different color

I am toying with the idea of painting my kids rooms a different color from the rest of the house. They already need to be painted anyway, but I am having a hard time convincing my husband to go for it. I don't want anything crazy. A light pink for my little girls room and maybe a light green for my little boy.

Check out Sherman Williams web site. Someone (I think here) told me about this. You can experiment with paint colors with a nifty tool. I think you can even take a picture of the room to upload and see what it would look like. Men are visual, so maybe that will help convince him.

Why does he need convincing? It doesn't sound like you are planning anything outrageous. I think kids rooms should always be different from the rest of the house. They need something to make their personal space feel unique.

My kids have their rooms painted and I let them choose their colors. You can always repaint and change it up again and your plans don't sound crazy to me.

Is there a particular reason why he does not want the rooms painted? I would go for it if it was me. The kids will really like having a room that is more "them."
