I have always wanted a small mud room in the back of my house for snowy days when the kids are coming in out of the snow and mud. So we have decided to put a small addition on the back of the house in order to make a mud room. I'm excited!

That is exciting! Are you going to put in a "mud room sink"? We have a big old sink in our mud room and it's great! You will love the room - just be careful to remember to clean it because ours gets pretty messy.

Those are nice. We had one at a past house that we lived at and it was very convenient. We didn't have to worry about snow but when the kids are little and playing out side all the time, it comes in handy. Also on rainy days. Ours also doubled as the laundry room so had the w/d and a sink. It was nice and I sure miss it.

That's a wonderful idea! I would love to have something like that in my house. We don't have much snow but we have tons of mud in the wintertime. It would be really convenient to have a way to get it off of us before we go into the house.

Oh, they are nice. I wouldn't call ours the 'mud room' but it is located right off the kitchen and you come in from the back. It is actually laundry room with the w/d and a nice sink. But it has a lot of extra room so it is used as that also.

We do not have one but if we had the room we would. Right now we have a shoes off rule that helps to take care of anything being tracked into the house and we have a Dirt Devil Gator Cordless.
