Default Need a new bedspread

I am having the hardest time finding a new bedspread. I am trying to turn our room into a sanctuary where we can escape from the kids so I am looking for something calming and peaceful. I don't want to pick the wall colors until I choose a bedspread but I have been EVERYWHERE with no luck!

Oh no! Keep looking - you obviously know what you are looking for. Don't give up yet.... You will have that sanctuary yet. Have you looked at Pottery Barn or JCPenney's?

Have you tried looking online at places like Overstock.com? I know it is harder to get a good idea of what it really looks like when you are shopping online though.

Sometimes stores have items online that they don't have in stores. You might try looking on their sites. Checking Overstock.com and other online places is a good suggestion, too.

Save up and spend the cash on the high quality sheets. I never realized how amazing thread count was until I broke down and got a nice setting for our own bed. It is heaven in the form of sheets and pillow cases I kid you not.

You can always just browse online looking for styles. You can always look at decorating magazines or books to get an idea of a look that you want and then search online for the specific colors you liked.

If you just want a new look but don't need a new one you could buy a duvet cover. It just slips over your existing comforter and usually buttons. I have picked up high quality name brand ones from second hand stores. I found 2 Carter Club ones in cream and green.

That's not a bad idea KarleyJean! I may start trying to look for a duvet cover instead since I am having such a hard time finding something I like.
