We have found a system that works, I do the wall papering and he makes the coffee, it works well that way!

I personally prefer paint. Wall paper is ok, but I'm slowly taking out the wall paper that is in this house. Mostly because it is starting to peal.

I sure hope you have better luck with it than we had trying to get a border down. Since they don't stick on the textured walls very well at all, that one used a special glue and it was miserable getting that glue off.

Have you found an easy way to get the glue off after the actual paper is down, Jason? I tried a number of things including vinegar and water in a spray bottle and a hair dryer... none of it made the job easier.

I've heard that about glue as well. Don't they sell a hand-held steamer at hardware stores that you can use to get the old wallpaper and the glue off the wall?

Yes, they do... and we tried that, too, because we had one. Since this happened just recently, we're still trying to figure out what to do next.

Someone told me to get the glue off to use hot water and dawn soap in a spray bottle. Almost sounds to easy for me though to actually work.

I think a lot of things probably work for certain types of glue... I'm pretty sure
that wouldn't work in our case, though... it's almost like they used gorilla
glue or something.

I think that if it is really strong stuff Katharina, you'll need to get a heat gun and a paint scraper and do it that way...

Yeah, I'm sure you're right about this. I really tried to avoid having to do that... I wanted to just get that border down without having to paint again but I don't think it's going to happen. The room just WAS painted not long ago.
