Default Pinecones

I’d like to decorate with pinecones for fall this year. We have a lot of them in the yard and they look so “fall” to me. What can I do with them? Anyone ever made a wreath out of pinecones? I have all sizes and shapes. Thanks in advance.

I don't see why you couldn't make a wreath with them. You would just need some hot glue and wire. You could put some fake berries on the pinecones to make it more colorful.

I say make a fall wreath too. Instead of berries, see if you can find fake leaves, in fall colors, at the store. You could also use small twigs in your wreath, I believe you could spray paint the twigs black or orange. In my head, the wreath looks very pretty. I might craft one, now!

A wreath is a great idea. Depending on the size of the pinecones, you can also make a small wreath to put around the base of candles for the dinner table. If you have small pinecones they can be glued to simple napkin rings.

My uncle has four different types of trees on his land and each give a different present. Our girl loves going out to collect the cones and then break out glue to make something from them. Last time it was a pine cone castle.

I've made the pine cone wreaths before and they are easy if you use the hot glue. I would suggest though if you want it to last a long time to wire the pine cones onto the piece you are using for it. You can use your imagination as far as decorating it. Just add a splash of color here and there and have fun.
