Default Pumpkins gone - check

So we took all the Halloween decorations down but left the Fall ones up. I can't wait to start decorating for Winter/Christmas. When do you start this?

Well we try to wait until after Thanksgiving to start the Christmas decorations. If something is up to long then I get kind of tired of looking at it and ready for it to be over with. A few weeks or so before is ok with me.

I usually put the Christmas/winter decorations up on Thanksgiving weekend. I don't like them to linger too long. Some people I know put them up near Halloween and that is just crazy.

I have very few Thanksgiving decorations so I do tend to put up Winter decorations. I bet mine would linger too long for both of you. I don't put up Christmas decorations until about 2 weeks before Christmas.

I have tons of Thanksgiving decoration so they are up now. Once Thanksgiving is over I will get out all the snowmen. Santa's and angels go out about 3 weeks prior to Christmas.

Right now we still have pumpkins out... I know I need to get rid of them. Then again I'm sick! I like to decorate for Winter the best. I have tons of snowmen!

I don't decorate the pumpkins when I put them out so when Halloween is over, I bring them in and cook them. Then I process them and put the pulp in the freezer to make pies or bread with. It's really nice to recycle them.

Christmas will be Thanksgiving weekend. Always is. The wife can take the kids and shop or do whatever, that weekend I start putting things up. I might take the stuff down Thanksgiving day, or maybe the day before this year though. See what all we have, and what I would like to get. Lowes has Rudolf and the Snowman from the old clay cartoons. So tempting, but they want $70 for the snowman and $78 for Rudolf. Too much for me.
