Default Retro 50's and 60's

Is there anybody here that likes the 50's and 60's look? I love it! I do not go hog wild or overboard with it, just some items here and there. We have a lot of retro homes in the area. I would love to buy one. They have smaller floor plans, but I do not need a lot of room. Is there anyone here who has any outstanding resources for buying items of this era?

Ebay! You can get a great selection of authentic vintage decor mixed in with reproductions, and you can get it for a good price. I lost many of my childhood ornaments, so I hit Ebay to try and find some. I found almost all of my favorite childhood ornaments, and I didn't spend a ton of money. I live in a 50's ranch, but I decorate it more country than vintage. It's an awesome look, though.

I'm glad I could help out! It's nice to see that the retro look is coming back. I love the retro look because it reminds me of my childhood, and I'd love to go back to that time. Things were a lot different back then.

I have only seen in a few in our area but the ones done were very well thought out. I wish we could do something like that with our place but I think it might be too out of character for our neighborhood.

I love the looks in pieces, not everything is something I could swing in our house. My better half is really into modern and contemporary styles, so its a little hard to get everything to "look right".

I have sold so many vintage things on eBay from the 1950s and 1960s. I pick it up at yard sales and know there are people out there who love it. I love it, but I don't decorate my house with it.

I really like Scandinavian/Danish type furniture. They have clean lines and replicate the 50's and 60's era. Vintage furniture from this era can be quite pricey, so shopping around for look-alikes is a good idea, if you like this type of design. E-bay is a good start!

Not me! I was a child in the 50s and 60s and, though we lived in a brand new house, it was small, had no central heating, a washing machine with a mangle and uncomfortable furniture!
