Default Silk Flowers

I'm in a creative mood and want to try my hand at a silk flower arrangement. Should I go to a florist, a craft shop, or Walmart? I don't want to get into too much expense, but I want flowers that look fairly true-to-life.

I've seen some really nice ones at Walmart. You do need to look around though. Some look pretty fake while others you almost need to touch to see if they are real or not. They do make nice arrangements though.

It's been awhile since I looked in that department, but I remember seeing some good quality, realistic-looking silk flowers at Walmart, too. Silk flowers have come a long way. They used to be either very artificial-looking or very expensive. These days, you can get some that are reasonably priced that, as Catrina says, you would never know were artificial until you touched them.

Michael's silk flowers are quite expensive but very nice. If you wait until the season's are about to change they put them on clearance and you can get them for a decent price though.

You can find some really good buys at Hobby Lobby when they have their florals on sale. I also try to go to Old Time Pottery when I'm at Pigeon Forge, TN. They have tons of flowers and they are relatively cheap. But then I pick up flowers at Dollar Tree or Dollar General Store too. It's really a mix for me.
