Default super simple shelves

I'm on a tight budget but my daughter really needed to have her room redone. We just finished yesterday and it looks so fabulous. We didn't have money to buy a lot of shelving so we took apart an old broken bureau and used the drawer fronts and backs and we spray painted them black. We hung the shelves high and next week we're going to decoupage old shoe boxes and use them instead of expensive photo boxes that you can buy at Michael's.

What a clever idea that was. It's surprising what you can come up with when redocrating that is simple and cheap when you are on a tight budget. Keep up the good work (and keep us posted!)

I love using Modge Podge to decorate shoe boxes! I take my old magazine, slather the cut out with Modge Podge, and cover the box. When it dries i brush another coat of the Modge Podge on. My friends use to think I bought my boxes somewhere fancy.

Lola, Where do you find Modge Podge? How cost effective is it to use? How much would it cost in Modge Podge to do 5 large shoe boxes? This sounds like a really interesting and useful craft that i would love to do with the kids.
