Default Vinyl on top of vinyl

I wasn't sure that it would work but I have just laid a whole kitchen floor with vinyl tiles on top of the old vinyl tiles as they would have taken a tremendous effort to prise up. I overlapped the old joins and they feel smooth, bouncy and comfortable. I just hope they don't lift!

I don't know if that short cut is going to work. Are they the stick on kind or the type that you have to apply adhesive to?

I actually used to lay flooring for a living and it's never really a good idea to lay new flooring on top of old flooring. The only time I would personally do it is if I knew I wasn't going to stay in that house for a long time. If you're only going to be there for a few years, it should hold up just fine.

They are the self adhesive type and I have just noticed a couple that I will have to replace because they have moved slightly. I'm happy if they last a few years then I'll probably have the whole floor lifted and redone properly.
