I happened to pop over to the neighbor's house the other day and they had painted the living room and kitchen. The house is made so that one wall is in both rooms. They had painted the kitchen side of the wall green on the bottom and grey on top starting about halfway up. They had painted the other half, the living room half, lavandar on the top and yellow on the bottom. They had four different colors of paint on one wall. It was hideous. They asked what I thought of it and I sort of changed the subject. It was hideous! I couldn't get out of there fast enough. What do I say if they ask me again?

I would just think up something polite but honest to say. They already but the time and effort in to it so there is no reason to hurt their feelings. Tell them it is unique and creative and ask them how they chose the colors.

Yuk... how silly and who would have thought to do that? I am glad you were polite - I would have been like.... ummmm it's great! Seriously though who paints 1 wall 4 colors?

I would have been speechless! I agree, say something positive and then invent a previous engagement you have to get too. It's amazing what some people do to their homes. Color is only one part of the decorating equation, but it's an important part.

Now I am bad with colors myself but that is a new step is a crazier direction than I could have ever dreamed up! I would be nice to them too but just let them know that maybe you both do not share the same intense love of color?
