Default window treatments

Do you really look down on someone if they only have blinds in their house? I know someone who just spent a ton on a new house and well worth it but the house the moved to has different sized windows than the old one. They are waiting a bit before getting new curtains as they now have double the windows and being larger, will be more expensive.

I am sure that blinds are more popular in certain areas but having them in any house is not really a bad thing. At some point or another everyone has had them, and its not like they are all trashy either. I don't get it.

I don't see anything wrong with blinds at all in a home. They do have really good quality wood ones that look very nice. I've had them in certain rooms, and then had drapes in others. It's all about taste and what looks good to you. I don't think you can fault someone for having them.

Its funny thinking about it know I caught an ad the other day that had amazing (and expensive) bamboo blinds. I am guessing the higher price is due to being all natural too.

I do think blinds without curtains looks kind of "naked," but in your friend's case it makes sense why they are waiting. I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone for having just blinds. Everyone has their reasons for what they do in their home.

I would never look down upon anyone for what they choose or don't choose for decorating their home. We all have different styles, needs, and reasons. Also, some blinds are attractive just as some curtains are tacky.
