My son has recently received a Kindle from his grandparents and was thrilled since he loves to read. I, however, am less than thrilled. He has somehow learned how to get into my Amazon account and has been secretly buying books with the one step purchase function. I finally caught him when he had bought around $250 worth of books. I threw a fit! I can't believe he did this. He is grounded and the Kindle is in our safe at home. Now I have to pay that credit card bill.

That's really unfortunate. How old is he? It's good that he loves to read but I would probably throw a fit too if I saw a bill like that. It's part of the reason I don't store any of my payment info. I've had a boyfriend accidentally spend money on my account instead of his because I saved my info.

Oh Cricket that is frustrating. I'm sure that during his grounding period you'll find a way for him to work off his debt. I have been there though (sort of) I thought I was so clever teaching my dear old 87 year old grandmother to use the computer until a $400.00 wheel of cheese arrived at our house. Seems Granny had gone on quite the shopping spree at my expense. Now that she's been gone for a number of years we all have quite a laugh about this but at the time it was quite distressing... I mean How do tell your own grandmother that she's grounded from using the computer?
