I absolutely HATE these machines. I think the fees are outrageous these days and I avoid them if I can at all. Unfortunately, they seem to have become a way of life around my area. Personal checks are being phased out more and more even though that is my preferred method of paying for things so I will have a record.

I have not used one in years. All of my banking is done online, over the phone or in person only. The last time I remember using them was to deposit payroll checks and the ATM never had any envelopes.

I only use the one at my band for my debit card as there are no fees for this. Use someone else's and the fees start!
