I have about 200 books that I have read stored in my closet in boxes. I’m thinking about grouping them and putting them on e-bay this weekend. Do you think books sell better in lots or single? It’s going to be a pain! But I would love the extra money!

Maybe you could group the books by genre. If you have quite a few by popular authors, you could sell those in separate lots. Selling them separately would take forever and the shipping combined shipping would probably be much higher, too.

I was thinking the same thing - group by "type of book" or by author or by like authors. I know I look on e-bay all the time before I go out and buy new books.

I would most certainly sell them in lots. I've seen the lot prices go so much higher than individual. Why not put up 5 or 6 lots one day and then another 5 or 6 the next day and keep on going. This way everything won't be closing the same day!

There is this website, I forget the name, that will buy books from you. You might want to check for that site, too. If you go with Ebay, I would sell the books in lots. Popular books, maybe sell by themselves.

I agree with grouping the books by author or genre. I have had success selling boxes of books that were all in one series or by one author. I have also purchased random boxes of books on Ebay so I think it's a good idea.
