Default Brown bagging tips for being frugal

I was reading an article on “frugal” brown-bagging lunches. It was interesting and most of the tips I already do. Tips were:

- make extra the night before (leftovers)
- use tuna or egg salad instead of expensive deli meats
- use yogurt and deli containers instead of buying new
- refill your water bottles so you aren’t buying drinks.

There was more too but those are the ones that I already follow. I also will buy a 2 liter of soda and put it in the fridge at work. A 2 liter is usually 99 cents – the pop in our vending machines is $1.50 each. We can get free ice from the cafeteria. What are some ways that you are saving money on lunches?

Great article that you read and I do the same thing too. We don't usually reuse the water bottles though. I mean we do but not for lunch. We use leftovers a lot for lunches.

I take my own lunch every day as well. Usually leftovers from the night before but sometimes soup or something like that. I keep snacks like yogurts and sodas in the fridge at work. I do buy deli meat but I usually buy it on sale from the meat market and as long as it lasts it ends up being cheaper than tuna.

I always save the margarine containers for storage (small and large ones) and you can make us some cool aid or other similar drinks and put in the empty water bottles or even juice.
