Default Christmas

Is anyone else starting to think about the Christmas budget yet? I usually start my planning in June or July so I don't have to take such a heavy hit in November and December.

My husband is usually awful about budgeting for Christmas and then he ends up all stressed out. This year I started a Christmas fund for him without telling him so he'll be pleasantly surprised when I hand him the money I saved for him, lol.

Oh gosh I couldn't start thinking about Christmas this early! I complain if I receive Christmas catalogues through the post in the Summer (and I have had one already!)

Christmas has really become a low budget affair in my home. We just buy something small for the little kids and that's about it. The adults participate in a white elephant which is fun for all.

We also don't save that much for Christmas. I know that this is a once in a year occasion but everyone in our home knows that finance is really low. We give gifts to each other but the gifts are very practical and sometimes we don't buy them at all.
