Did anyone here utilize a layaway plan for Christmas presents? I was thinking about it, but then I figured if I just budgeted properly I wouldn't need it. I think it's good that some stores are bringing it back though.
I used to do layaway a lot because it was a good way of picking up some items that might otherwise disappear closer to Christmas time. I didn't take advantage of it this year although I am glad to see that it is coming back.
I did not use lay away this year. I know a lot of people that did use it and they were glad it was back. I did not need to use it. I saved money all year so I had the cash when I bought the gifts.
Nope, we did not use it either. I had no reason to use it. I think Wal-Mart is the only store that had lay-away in my area. I was lucky enough to have the cash when I needed it too.
I've done this in the past and it does come in handy. I do think they have changed it up some though from what I hear. You used to be able to just put a little down and if you changed your mind you let them know and got your money back. I think they charge you a fee now for doing that?
