Default Extreme couponing backlash

I just read an article online about the backlash of extreme couponing (that show). The article said stores are starting to change their coupons policies, limiting the number you can use per order, limiting the # you can use per product, and not allowing the overages to go against other products. Have you seen this in your store yet? Do you use coupons? It’s probably a good idea to print off a copy of your grocery store’s coupon policy so you know what it is.

Publix changed some of their coupon policies this summer. Not sure about Winn Dixie or Walgreens. I haven't seen any news about them changing.

My biggest problem with these people is when they buy everything on the shelve and leave nothing else for anyone else. If you are going to do those sales then call the store and order extra products.

I'm really not somebody who uses coupons so it doesn't get me that worked up. I do think it's terrible for people to abuse coupons. I haven't heard of policies changing but it could be because I don't pay attention.

I didn't know that people were really using coupons that much. I occasionally see somebody using them, but not many. I guess people are just trying to save more money.

I don't see any problem with extreme couponing. I don't use coupons because I can never find any for the stuff I buy, but I don't care when I see someone with tons of coupons. More power to them.

As far as I know the stores near me haven't changed their coupon rules, but I have noticed that they now have their coupon policies clearly displayed throughout the store.

Several local stores have changed policy recently, and I think it's because of that show. Since the show aired I have seen a lot more people milling about the grocery store with their coupons. My friend works the courtesy counter and she said that they have been having an issue with people stealing the coupons out of the Sunday papers. They had to move the Sunday papers directly in front of the courtesy desk now to keep an eye on them.

I still use coupons but I am slimming down and trying other brands. A big issue is being able to stray away from your favorites and I still have a hard time doing this even with years of practice. Plus the stores are cracking down.
