Default Giving Tips

How much do you give for a tip? Who do you normally give tips to?

I only give tips to people who have done their job well. The amount that I usually give is the change of our bill.

I think it depends on the service. If the service at a restaurant is good, then I tip 20%. If the service isn't good, then I tip 10-15 % or not at all. The other thing I do is offer tips when I am at a hotel. The women who clean make nothing, and so I always try to provide them with some extra tips.

I think it depends. I live in Hungary and here tipping is the norm. Whenever you go to a restaurant you are expected to tip. What I usually do is to assess the level of service. If I have received a warm welcome I will be tipping generously. If not then I will still tip them but not as much. This works for me all the time.
