Default He wants it I do not

We are having a disagreement on something medium sized, not a big purchase that we normally consult on but not a little one either. It is a pool table and they get pretty expensive. I am still saying no but he is begging me yes. Help?

Is there a way to comprise? Say he gets the pool table, but no beer for a month to help pay for it? Or no pizza. That is something we do. If we want something big, we may give up someone temporary to help afford the big item.

A comprise might be the best idea, we are doing that too in this house next summer. He wants an out building to store all of his tools in and setup a small work area. I jut want the stuff out of the house.
