How are the costs of health care and insurance affecting your money? I am spending so much on insurance that I have considered just having no health insurance. I rarely go to the doctor. There is just always that worry that I am going to have an emergency or something.
It's affecting us bigtime. I don't agree with socialized health care, but there does need to be some regulating of insurance premiums. My husband's plan is $40 a month for just him. If we wanted the family plan, it would jump up to $500 a month. That's out of the ballpark and makes no sense to me.
I actually haven't felt any hits from insurance. I pay about 22 dollars every two weeks for my plan. I don't have a co-pay and have never had to pay a bill for the $4000.00 I've used in medical billing. I get discounts for filling out a health assessment survey and taking a pin prick test during the year. I actually think I'm going to be paying even less next year.
Oh heavens! I spend a good chunk of my monthly income on insurance. I've figured it up and we spend at least 1/3 of what we make on all of our insurances and I don't think I can cut anything.
