Do any of you hide money from yourselves to avoid spending it? I have started doing this and I actually forget I have it there until I run out of money. I take a $20 bill and hide it in the folds of my wallet. Out of sight, out of mind.

I keep a float in my checking account that I don't count as real money. I don't really hide any at home. It's actually hard for me to spend money. lol

We actually did this after our taxes came back. Well, hubby completely forgot there was $100 bill in his wallet. Ran into a week where finances were really tight, and he happened across it. AWESOME!
