Default Hitting The Yard Sales

We have been hitting the yard sales for a few weeks now looking for school clothes for my grandkkids. We have done the majority of our shopping there instead of shopping for new clothes. We've scored some brand name, looks like new, clothing and saved a ton of money! I love yard sales!

Now that is my kind of shopping! And yes you can find some really good stuff if you just take the time to look at each piece you are buying. Most of the time the child has out grown it before he/she has worn it much. Way to go.

Goodness OilAndVinegar, sounds like ya'll had a great time shopping for school clothes and really made out! That is the way to go if you start far enough ahead of time and just keep hitting as many as you can, you are bound to make out.

I like to go yard sailing too. It's amazing sometimes what you can find if you just look. I have found some really good things at yard sales for very little money. I found a first edition book that I love at one yard sale and I think I paid under a $1 for it.

Good job! We shop yard sales for household items but not usually school clothes. It's great that you saved a lot of money though. We shop clearance racks for clothing.

I think you did a fantastic job and really made out. You really can find some great things if you are patience and go to a lot of them over time. Clothes are always a good find as long as you look them over really good.

Yard sale season ought to be picking up around here too pretty soon. I love bargain hunting like that. It's too hot here for there to be very many in the summer months.

Yes, but at what point do you stop saving money and just buy junk because you WANT it instead of NEED it. I've occasionally convinced myself that I needed something when instead I wanted it and it lays around the house without us using it.

I would love to hit up some sales but lately the weather has just been too sporadic for us. It either is blazing hot and you sweat to death or its raining cats & dogs.

I am actually thinking of having one myself here pretty soon. I have a ton of baby clothes and a few baby items. I just don't really have anything besides that.
