Default Internet Service?

Which do you think is best....Satellite....Cable.... or your local provider such as ATT, etc.? We have ATT right now but have thought about going with Dish since they have it available. I'm just not sure about Satellite though. Which do you have and think is better?

Where you live can affect your satellite coverage. I'm in the flatlands and it gets very windy so I'd never take a chance with satellite coverage. My building is away from the street so I can't get DSL. Process of elimination? Cable.

Those all sound reasonable sneakers and make sense. I don't know if I would want satellite as I've heard when you get storms or a lot of rain it can go out and I'd hate to be in the middle of something and loose what I was working on. So, I would go with my local provider if possible or cable.

Verizon's service is nice. But costly, and if something happens, you are out of luck here. They charge you for anything from the street to inside your house. I've known a few people who have sworn them off, usually because of TV service problems.

Bright house may be slower, but their service is great. They buried a new wire for me from the pole to their equipment inside the house when I has having intermediate problems. Now I get some pretty fast speeds, as they upgraded the wire they buried.

I think you need to think about service, reception, and cost. You can compare all 3 and then make a decision. We use time warner and it's Cable and I hate the cost. It is the fastest in the area though.

I have DSL through my phone service. We got a really good rate and they work with us if something is wrong. I got discounted service for 6 months because the vendor they buy service from couldn't fix a speed problem. It was nice while it lasted!

I have mine through my cable service. I have found it's pretty reliable in my area. I had Verizon for a while but it was too expensive so when the cable offered services bundled, I took a chance and I've been pretty happy with it.

I only use ATT since my work takes care of my cell, everything through our house is vonage for the phones and a local company for the ISP. I have noticed to be careful, sometimes these places changes their policies mid term, be careful.
