Default Investing In Stocks

Does anyone invest in the stock market? I've been thinking about it, but I'm not sure the market is all that solid with the economy the way it is. Does anyone have any advice?

Big gains usually means taking big risks. I would suggest starting off investing in companies you are familiar with. If you drink coke, buy coke. If you like Ford cards, buy Ford. Etc... Buy larger companies. They are more likely to survive then others.

That is good advice, Jason. We have a few stocks and that's pretty much what we did. I like the bigger companies because they usually pay good dividends.

Electric and utilities companies are great for dividends.
