We had our nephew over the other night and I was clipping coupons. He told me he had talked his mom, my sister-in-law, out of using coupons because it was "embarrassing". Are you serious? She has a good job but she is the single mother of two teenagers. I told him I thought it was embarrassing to spend more money than you needed to.

I know some adults who have that very same issue. The problem with kids is when they see something on TV or in a store they instantly want it. They never realize that money spent takes away from other stuff like bills, that money could be spent maybe if she was allowed to use coupons. And what parents let their kid do that to them? Sorry, not in my household.
